Nyamityobora Vs Vipers SC, 4:30 PM
Much will be at stake as Nyamityobora welcome reigning Champions Vipers at Kakyeka Stadium.
Both sides are situated at opposite ends of the table: Vipers, second on the log, will be seeking to close the gap atop against leaders KCCA as the hosts will seek to jump out of relegation.
There is breath of fresh air at Nyamityobora following the club’s 4-2 win against Police FC and Asaph Mwebaze will demand that similar performance from the boys, especially target man Ibrahim Dada Juma.
Things have not gone right for Vipers and the side looked a shadow of themselves against Kirinya, despite coming out victorious.
Coach Nam Ouma explained to journalists after the Kirinya Jinja game that he needs time to build a strong team, but it’s not yet known whether club President Lawrence Mulindwa will be patient enough if the results continue to come upside down.
Mzee Dan Sserunkuma scored the only goal of the game as these two sides met in the reverse fixture at Kitende, and the visitors will hope that history repeats itself.
Vipers will be without league’s MVP Moses Waiswa – The player was not on the travelling squad and reliable sources have confirmed that he is not injured.
New signing Hamis Diego Kiiza is expected to make his debut with club after completing his switch from Ethiopia. Diego is expected to partner Sserunkuma upfront.
Right back Ibrahim Kiyemba is suspended after he was sent off for time wasting against Kirinya, and Geoffrey Wasswa is expected to deputise.
