This means that Vipers will play two games in a space of three days, with Saturday, January 26 as the resting day.

The club were supposed to play URA (at Namboole) and Mbarara (at Kitende) on Wednesday January 23 and Saturday January 26, respectively, per the recent dates.

The Venoms, defending Champions, are second on the log with 29 points from 13 league games. They trail table leaders KCCA FC by seven points, the gap that can be reduced to just a point if they can beat both URA and Mbarara.
