URA FC 1-1 SC Vipers

SC Vipers failed to pick maximum points against URA as the sides shared spoils in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter.

Vipers were held to a one all draw at Mandela National Stadium to a URA side that missed head coach Sam Ssimbwa who started his four game ban.

Shafic Kagimu gave the leaders a lead in the 36th minute when he ran forward to tap in Hassan Musana’s loft delivery.

Dan Mzee Sserunkuma levelled matters before the break – The striker, at a tight angle, squeezed his effort between James Alitho’s legs.

Vipers who remain unbeaten in the league, have all but lost ground in their bid to close down run away leaders KCCA FC.

Vipers are now on 30 points from 14 games, six behind KCCA FC but with a game in hand – Vipers will host Mbarara City FC on Sunday at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende.
