UPL: Villa Fans Plot To Boycott Kitende Game Again

Saturday, February 8
Vipers SC Vs SC Villa, 4:00 PM

Defending Champions Vipers will play host to record 16 time league winners Villa in a mouth watering clash.

However, a section of Villa fans have confirmed that they will not attend the Uganda Premier duel at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

This was revealed during Villa’s 1-0 loss to URA at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

On the day, fans were seen carrying placards with the message – We are not going to Kitende.

One of the fans commented that on Saturday, all roads will lead to Villa park where they will roast a big cow, and they will disassociate with all those fans that will go Kitende.

This is a continuation of their protest which was started last year to show their dismay to Vipers who banned over 17 Villa fans from never accessing St Mary’s Kitende.

The development comes amidst the ongoing intensity in the rivalry of the two league giants where a section of Villa fans attacked Vipers PR and Marketing Officer Abdul Wasike recently at Namboole.

Consequently, Villa held a meeting with some of their fans at Villa park to strategies ways on how to stop hooliganism.
