Alongside South Africans, a select Ugandan side has been invited to take part in the very last edition of the Kenya Sevens this weekend.
RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi will play host to the final outing of the Stanbic National 7s circuit in Kenya, and Uganda and South Africa will be represented. According to a statement from the Quins on Monday, University of Pretoria in South Africa will join forces with Blue Bulls to form one side that will participate, alongside emerging Uganda 7s.
“This year, we’ll have a combined side from University of Pretoria and Blue Bulls from South Africa and the emerging Uganda 7s,” part of the statement from the Quins read.
The last time a Ugandan side took part in Kenya 7s circuit was 2016, as then Champions, Betway Kobs, were invited to take part and placed in the sme group as KCB, Catholic Monks and Kabras Sugar. Kobs beat Daystar 29-22 to claim the shield final.
