In the rankings revision made today after a weekend of rugby, the Rugby Cranes have maintained 37th position.
The Cranes were outright losers last weekend in Windhoek as they fell 55-06 to defending Gold Cup champions, Namibia. The Welwitchias ran in 9 tries on their way to victory while the Cranes could only manage two penalties.
Namibia are up one place to 23rd, displacing Portugal while noisy neighbors, Kenya, maintained 28th. Uganda’s other Gold Cup opponents Morocco and Zimbabwe who played out 23-all draw over the weekend maintained 38th and 44th respectively while Tunisia ranks at 42nd.
New Zealand still hold the top spot with a firm grip after another win over the weekend with Ireland coming in second after returning to winning ways over the weekend against Australia. Wales and South Africa are the biggest climbers after beating Argentina and England over the weekend. Wales move up to 3rd from 5th, displacing Australia to fourth, while South Africa move up to 5th from 7th. England continue to drop (from 4th to 6th) with Scotland following suite (6th to 7th). France, Fiji and Argentina complete the Top 10 ranking 8th, 9th and 10th respectively.
