Water FC Vs Express FC, 4:00 PM
(Betway Muteesa II Stadium)

Express FC will look to avoid an upset when they face Water FC in the Uganda Cup at the round of 32 tie to be played at Betway Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

It should be noted that Express FC are the visitors – Big league side Water FC also host their games at Wankulukuku.

Coach Kefa Kisala will use his star players in a bid to storm round of 16 as they target to win the trophy for the first time since they beat KCCA in the finals via penalties in the 2006-7 season.

It should be remembered that last season, Express FC did not go past this stage – They lost 2-0 to Kitara FC after they had eliminated Kachumbala 6-0 at the round of 64.

The club will miss out on the services of Arthur Kiggundu, Tony Kyamera but Badru Nsubuga and Eric Kambale who missed the team’s last engagement may be in contention to start.

In the league, Express FC ended the first round in seventh with 21 points. The team drew goalless with Ndejje University FC at Wankulukuku in their last first round game.

After the stalemate, the bitter Express fans demanded for Kisala’s resignation and its expected that the former BUL FC coach will be under pressure to deliver.

It should be noted that Express FC and KCCA FC are the joint record Uganda Cup holders with ten titles.

Express and Water suffered the same fate at the round of 64: Saviour did not show up to face Water as Express FC received a bye against Paidha Black Angels.

Against Water FC, Express will face a team that is coached by former Red Eagles legend Umar Ssenoga (Sheikh Butcher) who also had stints with the Uganda Cranes.

Water are ninth in the Rwenzori group of the Big League with 11 points from ten games. They managed three wins and two draws in the first round.

Last season, Water FC managed to eliminate Maroons before falling to Seeta United at this same round.
