Kireka United Vs Wakiso Giants – Namboole
Kiboga Young Vs St Mary’s – Bamusuuta Kiboga
Tooro United Vs KCCA – Buhinga Stadium
(All games at 4:00 PM)
After failing to reach the CAF Confederation Cup group stages, KCCA FC will now set focus on domestic glory.
First in the line is a Tuesday tie with Tooro United away in Buhinga Stadium, Fort Portal.
This is a Stanbic Uganda Cup game round of 32 game with a slot to round of 16 at stake.
KCCA will welcome back defenders Muwanga Bernard and Lawrence Bukenya after missing out on the Continental engagement as the Club beat Congo’s AS Otoho D’Oyo 2-0 at Lugogo but fall out 3-2 on aggregate.
The duo, will fill the void left behind by Filbert Obenchan and Kizza Mustafa, the latter picked an injury in the warm up prior to Otoho’s game on Sunday.
To reach this stage, KCCA, the defending champions ousted Amuka Bright Stars 8-2 as Tooro ejected Entebbe 2-0 at Buhinga.
It should be noted that last season, KCCA defeated Tooro United (Soana then) to reach the quarter finals on their way to winning the crown. Patrick Kaddu and Paul Mucureezi each had a goal for KCCA, while Steven Ategeka scored a double for Soana in a 2-2 draw before goalkeeper Jamil Maliyamungu save two penalties for KCCA to progress (4-3 on penalties).
At the start of the Uganda Premier league, KCCA got off the mark with a 2-1 victory over Tooro at Lugogo. Allan Okello and Patrick Kaddu were on target before Allan Kayiwa brought one back for the visitors.
However, it should be noted that Tooro are yet to lose a game at Buhinga Stadium, and it’s not known how much the Otoho game took out from Mike Mutebi’s charges.
Tooro United have no injury concerns at the moment, this website has learnt.
In the other games, Big league teams Wakiso Giants and Kireka United face off at Namboole in a Wakiso Derby.
Kiboga Young will tussle with a less known St Mary’s at Bamusuuta grounds in Kiboga district.
