Transfers: Vipers’ Zaga Joins Express

Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye has joined Express FC from SC Vipers on loan for the remainder of the 2018 season.

Uganda Premier League defending Champions confirmed the development on their official website.

The exciting midfielder has failed to break through into the senior team due to stiff competition for places at the Kitende based side, and its expected that Express will give the player enough playing time.

Tumwesigye will join the Red Eagles where he is expected to have more playing time and revive his form and if he impresses will return next season,” reads an excerpt from the club website.

The exciting youngster was who earlier was mentioned in the same sentences like KCCA young dynamic duo Allan Okello and Julius Poloto has gone below the radar due to inadequate playing time.

Zaga who joined the Venoms senior team last season from the club academy, St Mary’s Kitende was a part of the 2017-18 Uganda Premier League title winning team.

Besides Zaga, the club has confirmed that they will be sending out more five players on loan – Ndizeye Sefu, Dickens Okwir, Fred Okot, Davis Kasirye and Noah Wafula.

However, Vipers are yet to confirm which clubs the five players will be joining before the second round kicks off.

In a similar development, the club will not renew left back Aggrey Madoi’s contract after it expired.

Madoi joined Vipers from Fufa Big League outfit Jinja Municipal Council (JMC Hippos) in 2015/16 season.

Vipers, second on the log, will finish their first round with games against URA FC on Friday at Namboole before hosting Mbarara City FC at Kitende.
