Two pivotal players to the Springbok’s charge will be missing when they face a familiar foe in the form of England, Faf De Klerk and Willie Le Roux will not be present to face the Red roses for a fourth time in a space of 6 months.

Because of that, Ivan van Zyl will start just his second Test match after being named at scrum-half with Damien Willemse filling in at fullback as replacements for the two who won’t be playing because Saturday’s match at Twickenham falls outside World Rugby’s official November window for internationals therefore their clubs can’t release them for this tie.

Elsewhere, a new look combo at the back row takes form as captain Siya Kolisi is partnered by Duane Vermeulen at 7 and Warren Whiteley at 8, this pushes Pieter Stephen Du Toit to second row in a compilation of experience to match the pressure of playing at Twickenham.
