KRU have named the Shujaa and Morans squads to compete in the Safari 7s set to happen this weekend at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi.

The Kenyan Shujaa are defending champions after defeating Samurai 38-21 at the Kasarani stadium in 2016. The Shujaa squad has retained the services of Herman Humwa, Leonard Mugaisi, Alvin Otieno, Daniel Taabu, Cyprian Kuto and Michael Wanjala who were part of the squad in Tunisia for the Africa 7s.

These are joined by Eden Agero, who is the skipper, Harold Anduvate, Johnstone Olindi, Mark Wandetto, Charles Omondi, Dennis Ombachi. Michael Wanjala will assist skipper Eden. Agero adds a lot of experience to the side owing to his experience on the global stage.

The Morans, a second string Kenya 7s side, features Eliakim Kichoi, Brian Wahinya who were part of the Kenya 7s in Tunisia. The other Morans are  Timothy Mmasi, Brian Wandera, Mark Kwemoi, Gregory Ochieng, Shaddon Munoko, Paul Mutsami, Ronnie Omondi, Vincent Onyala, Eric Ombasa and Samuel Motari, the team captain.

The two 7s sides will be under the watchful eyes of new Kenya 7s coach Paul Murunga and Kevin Bongoko.

Shujaa: Eden Agero(C), Michael Wanjala(VC), Herman Humwa, Alvin Otieno, Harold Anduvate, Johnstone Olindi, Daniel Taabu, Mark Wandetto, Charles Omondi, Dennis Ombachi, Cyprian Kuto and Leonard Mugaisi.

Morans: Samuel Motari(C), Brian Wahinya,Eliakim Kichoi, Timothy Mmasi, Brian Wandera, Mark Kwemoi, Gregory Ochieng, Shaddon Munoko, Paul Mutsami, Ronnie Omondi, Vincent Onyala and Eric Ombasa.
