Premiership rugby to have floodlights games

The 2018-2019 rugby season is already underway with the Uganda Cup now a done piece of the calendar and focus turns to the premiership which will, for the first time, hold night time rugby under the floodlights.

The first taste of floodlights rugby in Uganda happened recently during the last edition of the National Sevens Circuit i.e at Kitaka 7s and Floodlights 7s hosted at Legends and Kyadondo rugby grounds respectively. The Kitaka Memorial Sevens were held over two days, actually nights, under floodlights.

“There is going to be a few games under floodlights and it is going to be interesting this season. Much more action,” said URU CEO Ramsey Olinga.
