Brumbies back-rower and fetcher David Pocock and Waratahs utility back Israel Folau are going through their paces in just the right way ahead of Argentina’s Pumas visit this weekend.

Pocock and Folau had to be withdrawn late last weekend from the squad which eventually defeated the Springboks with David citing neck complications stemming from Wallabies clash against All Blacks earlier on in the Rugby Championship. Folau did not out see out the game against All Blacks in New Zealand with a knee injury.

“It’s all part of the progressions definitely. I think before you get out on the paddock – particularly before a Test – you need to make sure you have a bit of contact under your belt. He will do his progressions whether that is (Tuesday afternoon) or Thursday we’ll wait and see” Larkham said.

Crusaders Pete Samu was Pocock’s replacement last week while Dane Haylett has been a satisfying replacement for Izzy.

“He is a great finisher, he can make something out of nothing. He is amazing in the air and I think just the calmness he brings and the confidence he gives to the team and the boys around him is always good to have someone like that in your team, ” Haylett-Petty said.
