Pirates title defense still on course as Heathens, Kobs and Warriors keep winning streaks

Fresh off unveiling new sponsors in Stanbic Bank, Black Pirates capped of a huge week with a 17-03 win over Legends rivals, Shell Rimula Rhinos as Kobs and Heathens kept 100% records.

The defending Champions have kept their winning streak of the season going, with their second win from as many games. Haruna Muhammad (man of the match) and Desire Ayera marked their return to the Pirates XVs with a try each, well converted by flyhalf David Busingye. Busingye added a penalty to his count of the day to give Pirates the 17-03 win.

2016 Champions Betway Kobs, kept their 100% points collection intact with a 88-03 demolition of new boys Walukuba Barbarians. It was a scoring festival with tries from every position on the pitch from Justin Kimono, to Robert Aziku, Colin Kimbowa, Adnan Mutebi, Daniel Ortega, Ivan Kirabo.

Just like Kobs, Heathens put the other Eastern side, Jinja Hippos, to the sword winning 51-12 with a bonus point to maintain their 100% record in the league so far. Toyota Buffaloes recovered from a loss on the first weekend to a bonus point win against Rams, winning 33-12 as former Heathens back-liner, Joseph Oyet, put on a show as Warriors came from behind to defeat Plascon Mongers 21-19 in Entebbe at the House Of pain.
