Pictorial: SC Villa Strengthen Squad With 13 New Signings

SC Villa has boosted their squad with 13 new signings ahead of the second round of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

The unveiling ceremony was held at Villa Park, the training ground for the league record winners, on Thursday afternoon in front of the beloved Jogoo fans and members of the press.

Goalkeeper Saidi Keni joins from Proline FC, Suleiman Majanjaro (UPDF), Asuman Alishe (Mbarara) and John Adriko (Kitara) headline Villa’s January transfer business.

Emmanuel Kalyowa has also joined the club form Tooro United, Yakubu Rama comes from Zambia’s Lusaka Dynamos. The club added another international player in Peter Dusuman from South Sudan.

The signings will also be seen as replacements for the players that left the club including Manco Kaweesa, Savio ‘Ginola’ Kabugo, Shafik Bakaki among others.

SC Villa start their second round campaign with 14 points, a place and two points above the red zone. They won twice, drew eight and lost five games in the first round.

SC Villa will start their campaign with a game against URA at Namboole on Saturday.
