Okwi Leads Simba Hopes In Kinshasa

Tanzanian outfits SC Simba will bank on Uganda’s Emmanuel Arnold Okwi sharpness infront of goal as they take on DRC’s AS Vita.

The two sides meet on Saturday for matchday two of the CAF Champions League group D encounter.

Okwi who joined Simba from SC Villa in 2017, was on target as Simba outclassed Algeria’s JS Saoura on matchday one.

Okwi scored at the stroke of halftime before Meddie Kagere bagged a brace in the second stanza to seal a 3-0 deserved victory.

Simba, who arrived in DRC on Thursday, will miss the services of captain John Bocco who limped off in the game against JS Soura.

The game in Kinshasa will bring together two Uganda Cranes defenders – Murushid Jjuuko (Simba) and Savio Kabugo (AS Vita).

Kabugo joined Vita from SC Villa but it’s not yet known if the former Proline FC centre back will make the Squad.

Vita will look to bounce back from matchday one 2-0 away loss to Al Ahly in Alexandria, Egypt.
