Namilyango College recorded three tries on the road to beating Makerere College School (MACOS) to see the latter off and set a final date with St Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) in a rivalry renewed.
MACOS started the game with more intent than Namilyango College but saw their two attempted penalties go wide, no thanks to Kikule Shawn. Opio Ezekiel also missed Namilyango College’s penalty attempt too but rescued his blushes with an intercept try from Namilyango’s half to score right below the posts, before Gavin Mutara converted for a perfect score. Namilyango College and MACOS exchanged penalties through Olupot Jonathan and Okwalinga Paul respectively to end the first half 10-03 to Namilyango College.
Namilyango recorded two tries in the second half, with Kalihira Ryan scoring off a rolling maul and a penalty try after a high tackle on Otala Xavier, with the winger clear to the try area. MACOS failed to register a single point in the second half and Namilyango College won 24-03 at full time.
Namilyango’s prop Thembo Jeremy was announced Britam Insurance Man Of The Match.
The Ngonians had earlier won the lower Age Grade games in Under 15 and Under 17 to match the finals too.
