Driftwood 7s champions, Top Fry Nakuru are in Pool A, while table-leading Menengai Cream Homeboyz are in Pool D ahead of the second last sevens circuit, Dala 7s at ASK Mamboleo Showground in Kisumu City on 8th and 9th September.

Top Fry Nakuru, who beat Mwamba in Driftwood 7s finale are grouped alongside Resolution Kisii, Joseph Aredo’s Kenya Harlequins and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST).

Pool D which houses the DJs has the log leaders playing against Nondescript, Silverstone Kisumu and MKU Thika.

Kenya Cup champions, and 7s semi-final-appearance kingpins, also Driftwood 7s third best team, KCB, are grouped in Pool C alongside Kabras Sugar, and nationwide side Northern Suburbs.

Mean Machine and Black Blad who missed out on Driftwood 7s about a fortnight ago have been seeded in the top tier in Kisumu with the former completing Pool C while the latter is in Pool B. Pool B is headlined by the second team in Mombasa (Driftwood 7s), Stanbic Mwamba alongside Impala Saracens.

The Kisumu hosted leg has since welcomed bumper funding in the tune of one million Kenyan shillings from Shell through Vivo Energy.
