Mileke 7s : Warriors salute Mama and Papa

Mileke 7s is the program this weekend as Warriors to celebrate a family that has seen Warriors rise from the doldrums of 2008 when their sons started playing post-school rugby til this date.

Mama and Papa, as they are commonly known within the rugby fraternity, have supported the sport in more ways than can be imagined. Parents to rugby playing sons, Erasmus Aredo, Gabriel Aredo and Joseph Aredo, they can be seen seated at the score board areas at both Kyadondo and Legends Rugby grounds every league game, plus any other tournament organised by the Uganda Rugby Union.

Papa & Mama have supported Warriors RFC from the time their sons started playing in 2008. With all their sons playing for the then SummerKamp RFC, they came through with t-shirts, water and medical kit cover during the midday game days in the championship/shield league days. With the team in the premiership, their support has continued, even with Joseph Aredo having moved to Kobs RFC.

Erasmus and Gabriel are now in the administration setup of the Warriors wit Gabriel still moonlighting as a player.

Mileke 7s  circuit is therefore a dedication from Warriors to celebrate Papa & Mama for their contribution not only to Warriors RFC but also to the development and growth of rugby in general in Uganda. We shall use this occasion to honor them with a Lifetime Achievement Awards from Warriors RFC and will be our special Guests of Honor come 6th of July 2019.
