Kinyera Emmanuel is one of the new exciting prospects at Rams rugby football club based in Makerere. He is from a family of 3 and had his primary education at Fairways primary school Kireka after which he joined Namilyango college for his ‘O’ and ‘A’ level.

Kinyera started playing rugby in senior two which was introduced to him by Komakech Geoffrey of Heathens rugby club. He has had quite the illustrious journey so far with a lot to show from his high school days.“ I have won trophies at the U-14, U-16 and U-19 levels, at the nationals as well and we came second in the East African games in Kenya. I also took part in the East African games in Rwanda”

Life outside Rugby

“ My life outside rugby is basically studies, hanging out with friends and playing a bit of table tennis”

Juggling rugby with other life aspects
Kinyera lets us know that his days are well planned out with rugby and everything else not clashing at the moment.

“I would look forward to retaining all the good players in the Uganda league as well as developing rugby within universities and high schools”
