Kobs were six tries so good and two conversions against the one penalty Hippos managed in the first period.
Fluid and free-flowing sequences saw the Blue Army in early with young utility back Josiah Sempeke completing the first move to dot down for the first try. They were back in the assault with Conrad Mukwaya and Justin Kimono combining out-wide and the latter scoring Kobs second. Sempeke added the extras before getting Kobs third try before the break, to give Kobs a 17-03 cushion.

The introduction of Juuko Jude in the second period sparked a different kind of bludgeoning with the back-rower rummaging his way to the try line to give Kobs the bonus point early on. He later got his brace before returning Keith Seruyange sealed the day with a try of his own, giving Kobs a comfortable 34-03 win.
Elsewhere in Bweyogerere, Pirates ran in five tries (Michael Amolo-2, Alex Aturinda-2, Nathan Bwambale) on the road to a 29-08 win over Shell Rimula Rhinos. Heathens battered Warriors 36-00 while Mongers were able to see off a resurgent Buffaloes winning 18-13.
