KCCA FC fans club to host elections in August

2017 Uganda Premier League and reigning Uganda Cup champions KCCA FC this morning move to have massive registration exercises for their fans, and as well hold elections for the different leadership positions of their fans board.

While addressing the media this morning at Lugogo, the PRO of the interim committee, Mr Segawa Adam iterated, “Rather than have fans debate about issues to deal with KCCA FC from an uninformed point of view, we want to have them registered and gain exclusive access to information pertaining the club, contribute to the finances of the club through the membership fee paid, and also be able to vote for leadership of the body that brings fans together.”

Registration exercises for KCCA FC fans is going to be taking place around the whole country and individual are expected to part with UGX 20,000 to cater for this exercise, plus attainment of a membership card. Only registered members of KCCA FC will be eligible to vote for the fans’ leadership which is expected to happen in August.

Campaigns for the various position will kick off countrywide on 25th July 2018 and elections will take place a month later on 25th August 2018 at the KCCA FC stadium in Lugogo.

The nomination forms for the position of president can be acquired after the payment of UGX 500,000 which is non-refundable upon submission. Nomination forms for other positions go for UGX 300,000. Student representatives who won’t be required to purchase the forms.
