Just hours after announcing the sponsorship with Stanbic Bank Kenya and the latter absorbing naming rights for the National 7s circuit in Kenya, the pools for the respective divisions of the first round of the 7s circuit have been made.
Kabras, who are the defending champions of the national 7s circuit are seeded top and take up the first place in Pool A alongside Stanbic sponsored Mwamba RFC, Strathmore Leos and Mean machine.
Defending Prinsloo 7s champions and reigning Kenya Cup champions, KCB, are set to headline Pool D alongside the hosts of the first round, Top Fry Nakuru, Nondescripts and 7s new boys Nzoia Sugar Webuye.
2016 National 7s champions, Menenegai Cream Homeboyz are in pool B and are set to lock horns with Kenya Harlequins, Blak Blad and Silverstone Kisumu. Resolution Impala Saracens headline Pool C, alongside Menengai Oilers, Western Bulls and Regional logistics Mombasa.
Catholic Monks who were relegated from the first division last season rank top in the second division. This 24 team division will take place alongside the top tier competition with the winner set to earn promotion to Division 1.
