DusuPay Warriors boy Juma Ochan has been suspended for six weeks for his part in the touchline melee that took place when Betway Kobs played Warriors in the Uganda rugby premiership.
Juma Ochan is on record to strike Kobs head coach Fred Mudoola in the time when play came to a standstill after a spat that started with Kobs Adnan Mutebi and Warriors assistant coach Gabriel Aredo.
A statement from the union signed by CEO Ramsey Olinga read as, “Juma Ochan having been a player on the official team list of Dusupay Warriors of the day and seen on the Kratos Video footage striking an official of the opposing team (Headcoach Fred Mudoola), is hereby suspended from any URU activities for Six weeks.
Pending further sanctions/review by the URU Judicial office.”
Both teams (Warriors and Kobs) have been requested to submit the disciplinary measures they took in handling their different members that were involved in the 12th January incident. Gabriel Aredo and Adnan Mutebi will be appearing before League Management Committee on 23rd January, 2019 at 6pm after they were cited as key person in the incident.
