KCCA FC’s Mike Hillary Mutebi and Onduparaka’s Gaddafi Gadinho have been voted as the Pilsner coach and player respectively for the month of December.
The brief awarding ceremony to honour the recipients was held on Tuesday morning at Kati Kati Restaurant in Kampala.
KCCA FC gaffer beat URA’s Sam Ssimbwa to the accolade. Mutebi won four out of the five games with his only dark spot in December being a 3-2 loss to Express in Wankulukuku.
Mutebi guided KCCA to victories against Maroons, Ndejje University, Paidha Black Angels and BUL FC in December.
Ssimbwa’s URA won twice and drawn as many games in December. The team beat Onduparaka and Bright Stars after sharing spoils with Tooro and Mbarara City FC.

Gadinho on the other hand, edged Villa’s striker Bashir Mutanda to the gong: The Onduparaka star scored two goals and as many man of the match performances against Mutanda’s four goals and one man of the match performance.
Gadinho scored a goal each against Express in Wankulukuku and Paidha in a tense Arua derby, receiving the man of the match honour in both games.
It should be noted that Javier Martinez Espinoza (Vipers Coach, then) and Joel Madondo (Kirinya Jinja) were awarded in October. Mbarara City’s duo Livingston Mbabazi (Coach) and Paul Mucureezi (player) were honoured in November.
What they said:
“Such things are good for the industry to encourage us who earn from the game, it motivates us to work hard.
“Its important than the cash, its durable. I will always look at this. This reflects that the game is growing, I thank Nile for the initiative and UPL.
“I am very happy for this award, I thank my fellow players because I won it as a team, not as an individual player.”
