Equator will be hoping to bounce back when they face Mengo City on Thursday in the Futsal Uganda Super League at International Futsal Courts in Mengo – Entrance is Sh5000.

It has been a hard week for Equator who bowed out of the Uganda Cup in the hands of Typhoons FC.

The club also lost one of their main pillars in Edgar ‘Sharp’ Bwogi who returned to mainstream football with Uganda Premier league side Police FC.

After the Uganda Cup loss, Captain Omar Hitimana and Coach Abubaker Tabura told journalists that they will be looking to improve, correcting past errors and come back stronger.

Standing in their way, is Mengo City who are ninth on the log with 13 points from 11 games. Mengo ousted Elephants from the Uganda Cup.

Mengo will also be without Sadiq Ssekyembe who switched to mainstream football recently with top flight club Express FC.

In their last league engagements, Equator lost 2-3 to Dream FC with Kaliisa Jamil scoring a hat-trick for the defending Champions.

Mengo on the other hand, easws past Parakeets FC with a 3-0 victory – Charles Mary, Isma Makanga Dembele and Vasco Oketcho scored a goal each.

Equator, eleventh on the league log with as many points, will rely on Adan Ismail and Hussein Mohammed Abdallah for goals. The latter has scored 13 league goals bettered by Avemah Shafic (Yeak Kabowa, 24 goals), Bukenya Joseph Kiiza (Park, 19) and Iddi Babu (Park, 15).
