Edgar Bwogi Commends Futsal After Police Switch

Edgar ‘Sharp’ Bwogi has saluted Futsal for its great role in reviving his career after the player returned to mainstream football.

Bwogi signed for Uganda Premier League side Police FC after a short spell with Futsal Super League side Equator FC.

I want to thank my Equator FC family, thank you for giving me an opportunity to rediscover the love for the game,” Bwogi posted on one of his Social media platforms.

On to a new journey with Police FC, I am humbled to make this move and looking forward to achieving success on and off the pitch with them.”

He thanked Equator officials including Coach Abubaker Tabula and Director Ram Hadji among others.

Bwogi leaves a big gap at Equator as the club has registered poor results recently. Equator bowed out of Futsal Uganda Cup with a 2-3 loss to Typhoon.

Equator are eleventh on the Futsal league table with 11 points and as many games.

Bwogi is one of the five players signed at Police ahead of the second round – Ginyera Alfred (Farmers FC), Edward Kiryowa (Farmers FC), Kasozi Kennedy (Vipers, loan) and Ivan Bukenya.

The centre back featured for Police on Monday against his former club Express, the latter lost 2-0 at Betway Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
