In the squad released this morning ahead of the Driftwood 7s to take place in Mombasa this weekend, Ugandan Joseph Ja’Duong Aredo, was named among the players to feature for Nairobi based Kenya Harlequins.

This will be the second consecutive 7s circuit that Aredo plays for his Kenyan employers after featuring last alongside fellow Ugandan Daudi “Muscle” Ssemwami in the Kabeberi 7s hosted by by Stanbic Mwamba RFC. Ssemwami has not been named amongst the players to feature for Harlequins this week.

Aredo and Ssemwami are the only Ugandans in the Harlequins camp currently as Ronald Musajja, Solomon okia and Aaron Ofoywroth are on a much needed hiatus after a taxing rugby calendar that saw play til the end of the Gold Cup last weekend.

Harlequins finished in fourth place in the Kabeberi 7s, after losing the 3rd place playoff to KCB, a placement which hurled them into 6th on the overall log with 31 points. Kenya Harlequins headline pool D alongside Prinsloo and Sepetuka losing finalists, Mwamba RFC, Nondies and Makueni RFC.
