Coach Mutebi, Two Others Receive Fines

Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) disciplinary committee has slapped fines to coaches Mike Mutebi (KCCA), Sam Ssimbwa (URA) and Fred Kajoba (Bright Stars).

Kajoba has been found guilty of leading his technical bench to the field of play in a game against Tooro United to protest a penalty decision which brought the game at standstill for about two minutes.

Mutebi and Ssimbwa who were recently summoned to the committee early this year for their recent comments, are said to have aired out words that were ‘bringing the game into disrepute’.

Mutebi, during a KCCA FC organised party to send off KCCA ED Jennifer Musisi then, commented that the club had a special budget to ‘buy’ matches and all their trophies won in the last 20 years were fixed.

Ssimbwa on the other hand, aired out tribal comments during a post match interview in Jinja after URA were held by Kirinya Jinja SS in a league game.

The three Coaches will pay sh4M, while Ssimbwa and Mutebi have been banned four matches each in addition to the financial fines, FUFA revealed via their official social media accounts.
