Christie 7s : Black Pirates bring in new faces

Black Pirates Rugby Club have named what many would term as an unfamiliar 7s side to represent the club in the upcoming Christie 7s in Nairobi with a number of new faces set to feature for the 7s champions.

Coach Bobby Musinguzi has named his charges, led by the experienced Richard Odokere. Pirates, which boasts of arguably the best system to nurture young talent, has thrown in a plethora of new names.

Indomitable Pirates 7s skipper, Isaac Massa who is evidently absent from the team is however with the Uganda Select 7s side alongside fellow Pirates Timothy Kisiga and Haruna Muhammad.

National 7s stars Desire Ayera and Ivan Magomu have been excused from the team due to their critical school calendar. It is notable that tey have some injuries in there owing to the brutal Floodlights 7s semi-final against Betway Kobs. The injured players include Cadri, Conrad Wanyama, William Nkore and Rujumba.

The Guinness National Sevens champions, Black Pirates, were thrown in the deep end as they have been grouped alongside Dala 7s champions, Stanbic Mwamba, Kabras Sugar Rugby and Dala 7s Challenge Trophy winners, Mean Machine.
