Lemerigar wary of Barbarians as Buffaloes make the trip

Coach Edgar Lemerigar is overly cautious and wary of his side’s test against new boys Walukuba Barbarians, as his Buffaloes charges make the trip to Abel Dhaira Memorial stadium this Saturday.

The honeymoon is certainly over for Walukuba Barbarians as the idea of relegation appears to be more real after every game played. They lie bottom of the table on 5 points, and that is where Coach Lemerigar believes the trouble his Buffaloes will face will start from.

Match Highlights : Toyota Buffaloes 61-06 Walukuba Barbarians

“It will be a tight game because they are at home and are wounded, while fighting for survival. Such an opponent is the most difficult to go up against. You never know what to expect and that affects the planning,” said a wary Lemerigar.

The first time they met, Buffaloes were commanding 61-06 winners, at Kyadondo.

Buffaloes are comfortable in mid-table in 5th position (31 points) while the Barbarians are top from the bottom. Their only win came against Jinja rivals, the Hippos in a very hard and contested game after heavy rains.

Buffaloes are a three game winning streak, having picked up wins against MRI Rams, Plascon Mongers and Shell Rimula Rhinos consecutively.
