Norman Ojik gave Wakiso a deserved and early lead in the 14th minute when he slotted home from close range after the visitors failed to clear from a well delivery freekick from Yasin Mugume’s freekick.

Ndugwa who came in for Abdul Karim Kasule at the restart, was at the end of Hakim Ssenkumba’s weighed ball to send a diving header into the net.

JMC Hippos are yet to score in the last two games.

This was Ndugwa’s first goal from as many league games in a Wakiso shirt – The tall forward joined Wakiso from Mbarara where had gone on loan.

Ndugwa had stints with Express, URA, Sports Club Villa, Sadolin Paints, Victors, Onduparaka and AFC Leopards.

The visitors, who had their biggest chance rattle the crossbar, made attempts to answer back but all in vain – Amos Kairu also forced Ivan Mutumba into double saves.

Wakiso remain unbeaten on the log with 26 points from 13 games. This was the club’s seventh victory of the season.
