Big League: Kitara Edge Proline As Wakiso Giants Roar


Kitara FC picked maximum points off Proline as FUFA Big League second round kicked off on Thursday (Two games were played on Wednesday)

Kitara won 1-0 away at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo in an intense affair that was attended by many vocal Kitara fans.

George Ssenkaaba backheeled home at close range to beat Keeper Michael Muhumuza inside the first half.

Noordin Bunjo shot wide twice, Ivan Bogere and Allan Gerald Egaku also failed to level matters for the hosts who dominated the proceedings.

Shafic Bisaso’s side however remain on top of the Rwenzori group wkgh 23 points from 11 games.

The victory leaves Kitara FC to fifth with 18 points, this was the club’s fifth win of the season.

In Elgon group, leaders Wakiso Giants won with swag against Amuka Bright Stars. Captain Feni Ali was on target, new signings Norman Ojik and Yasin Mugume scores a goal each to seal a commanding victory.

The Giants have now gathered 23 points from eleven games, and this was their sixth win of the campaign. Coach Ibrahim Kirya is the only unbeaten team in the league.
