The All Blacks begin their tour of the Americas and  South Africa tomorrow when they take on the Pumas in Argentina – front row Angus Ta’avao is set to make his debut having been named on the bench.

Rookie Ofa Tuungafasi will start in place of fellow tight head Owen Franks while Shannon Frizell is in at blindside flanker, Luke Whitelock replaces captain Kieran Read at number eight who has been rested this weekend. The squad will be captained by Crusaders lock Samuel Whitelock.

TJ Perenara gets another go as the starting halfback in what will be his 50th Test, Sonny Bill Williams makes a much anticipated return from injury to wear the All Blacks number 12 shirt, Ben Smith moves back to fullback after South Africa gave young Jordie Barrett a strenuous time two weeks ago . Richie Mo’unga and Anton Lienert-Brown complete the bench on the day.

With intent to have the Rugby championship sealed within the next two matches, Steve Hansen had this to say: “We’ve taken some key learnings from the loss to South Africa, which we look forward to implementing on Saturday. Our week’s preparation starts off the field with our individual and collective clarity and builds during the week through our trainings. So far this week this has been very pleasing and everyone’s been working really hard. We’re excited by Saturday’s challenge and can’t wait for kick off.
